Hybrid TV to reach 27.8mn LatAm homes by 2015 |

Hybrid TV with interactive capabilities delivered via IP is gaining ground in Latin America and will reach 27.8mn households in the region by 2015, according to a new report from consultancy firm NexTV Latam.
This figure represents 17.4% of all households in the region with a television and TV reception of some sort. More significantly, the study indicates that by 2015, homes with hybrid TV will represent 41.9% of all households with fixed broadband access in Latin America. Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina are expected to represent 85% of households with hybrid TV.
NexTV also estimates that by 2015, 41.4% if households with hybrid TV will have DTH+IP, while 38.4% will have DTT+IP, and 20.2% will have cable+IP. Source: iptv-news.com
