IPSoft iStream Mobile, a dedicated version of IPSoft iStream, is designed for delivering interactive content to mobile devices. Video services are available over GSM, 3G, WiMax and Wi-Fi Internet connections.

IPSoft iStream is a universal content delivery system providing network subscribers and web users with a full range of interactive services. This Netris solution and other IPSoft products (IPSoft iVision IPTV Middleware, a service delivery platform; IPSoft DMA, a content distribution system; IPSoft iVision PC Solution, a PC content delivery system) ensure complex interactive services and subscribers exposure for service providers (SP). IPSoft iStream Mobile let mobile phone and PDA owners become permanent users of Digital TV services.

The basic IPSoft iStream Mobile services are:

  • Broadcasting;
  • VOD;
  • Push VOD.

Push VOD as well as Podcast allows users to record video clips, news, films, TV shows and watch whenever they want on their mobile phones. The content is usually transmitted in spare capacity overnight. For example if the content was downloaded early in the morning a user can watch the latest news or overnight programming on his way to work.
