There are several digital TV standards in Russia: DVB-S (Satellite), DVB-C (Cable), DVB-T (Terrestrial), DVB-H (Handheld) and IPTV. The basic advantage of IPTV is an upstream which allows service providers to offer interactive services to subscribers and change the process of TV consumption.

According to Federal target program “Development of Digital TV & Radio Broadcasting in Russia in 2009-2015” the basic digital TV transmission standard will be DVB-T with MPEG-4 compression. One of the basic program’s talking points is private-governmental partnership with service providers transmitting signal in different standards. Special attention is paid to IPTV as the advantages of the technology are obvious to the basic participants of the TV market.

At present moment Netris realizes the conception "digital content everywhere and on any device" which integrates:

• IPTV in service provider network on add-on units and PCs (user equipment );
• DVB-С/Т;
• Internet TV (transmission of encrypted content) for every Internet user including broadcasting and downloading of content on mobile devices with Internet connection via GPRS, EDGE, EVDO, WiFi, WiMAX;
• Mobile broadcasting over DVB-H networks.
