Netris presented CCTV platform at CIPR (digital industry of industrial Russia) conference

Netris company presented its National video surveillance platform (ENPV) at CIPR (digital industry of industrial Russia) conference. The platform is integrated with new generation 5G mobile networks. ENPV has been created by Netris in cooperation with PJSC Rostelecom.

The systems were tested at CIPR conference with Ecicsson infrastructure support: the company provided its program solutions for control and radio networks. The Federal government insists that 5G network should be based on Russian equipment, which yet would not come to commercial service until 2023-2024. Rostelecom says that declared 5G data transmission speed in the city landscape would be up to 1 Gbps.

ENPV system with face and car number plates recognition functionality is already used in Smart city projects. Also, the government is the potential solid waste control system customer.

Yet Russian operators have not developed special 5G solutions. The number of fields where the signal ultra high speed and minimum delay are compulsory is quite few. That kind of conditions are needed in telesurgery and in mining industries equipment remote automatic management. As for the more extensive use opportunities, 5G networks will help the existing safety systems improvement.

“Higher video stream quality will allow more accurate objects identification, while more connections and higher traffic volume will provide more coverage. This is crucial for that kind of services, and with that perfomance features they will be in demand both in commercial and state segments”, - says Glazkov. Rostelecom company representative relates 5G mass market prospects with added reality services. However, the operators will start relevant networks and services developments basing on b2b trends.
