Smart city and smart region subsystems (CCTV, official services, intellectual transport system, etc.) cannot be separate projects. On the contrary, they should be connected to each other on the basis of a single city or regional concept.
City CCTV platform should not be created as a thing-in-itself, it should be a part of the smart city complex system. The same cameras can be used both for traffic management (including car number-plates recognition function), and for law-enforcement actions with face recognition functionality utilization. Those functions can be united in a single intellectual video analytics system.
Other smart city subsystems data and CCTV systems data integration reduces the risks and helps to predict the citizens needs, make the city infrastructure investments more efficient.
