CCTV Platform

City CCTV system with cameras in all Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk districts. The project was launched in 2019 in accordance with service model, and now it includes over 4300 cameras in all city districts. There is a separate portal created for citizens to access city cameras installed where they live.

Task

Creation of city CCTV system with unlimited scalability and fail safety in accordance with the service model. Delivering the opportunity for citizens to access their living place yard and lobby cameras through the separate portal with ESIA authentication.

Problem

Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk is the 6th largest city in the Russian Far East with 200 854 population. Until 2019 the city had no unite CCTV system for safety and city household management.

Solution

The system has been created by the Rostelekom Far East Administration office on the Netris video core basis. At the moment of launch over 4300 cameras were connected, and their number is constantly growing all over the city districts. The law-enforcement officials, city services and institutions have access to cameras. There is a separate portal for citizens to access city cameras installed where they live with ESIA authentication (Gosuslugi portal). The project is delivered in accordance with service model.
