Netris and Aerodisk confirmed their solutions high compatibility and productivity
Russian data storage and virtualization solutions developer Aerodisk and Netris have conducted productivity tests, that proved Aerodisk Engine data storage system and Netris CCTV software complex solution efficiency for any scale and complexity video surveillance systems.
The key goal was Netris CCTV platform (Netris CCTV software) and Aerodisk Engine data storage system productivity and compatibility assessment and Storage system best configurations identification for the software joint use. The companies aimed to assess the number of cameras that the complex Netris software and Aerodisk Engine data storage system solution can support. This would provide faster and better assessments for projects, and also new systems, fewer errors and higher fail safety.
Testing stand included Netris CCTV complex virtual machines and Aerodisk Engine data storage system N2, that consisted of 12 NL-SAS 12 Tbyte disks and two SSD 1,8 tbyte disks. Netris CCTV complex virtual machines provided 200 5 Mb/s cameras operation, average Storage system recording rate was 120 Mbps. Working disk space with 105 Tbyte test configuration provided 10 days permanent recording cycle.
Processors and Storage system disk subsystem analysis revealed that the system has considerable productivity reserve and that the complex solution can be scaled. The conclusion was made that the complex solution of Aerodisk Engine Storage system and Netris CCTV software can be employed at any object where intelligent video surveilance system is needed. Based on the tests, in the future 200, 500, 1000 and 2000 cameras reference architectures would be presented.
Netris CCTV platform software has been developed by Netris for the CCTV platform, which is smart cities and regions, safe cities and regions, state and municipal objects, transport objects, multinational corporations and major geographically spread organizations video surveillance solution. The Platform provides unlimited scalability, safety, efficient territory and objects management, due to its module architecture and wide video analytics functionality.
Aerodisk Engine is Russian Enterprise Storage system with high productivity and fail-safety rates, appropriate for IT-infrastructures of various scales and complexity. Among the System functions are up to 8 active mode controllers support, file and block access, multilevel storage, SSD-caching, deduplication, local and remote replication.
“Currently, our cooperation with Netris is completely remote: we arranged the test remotely, prepared the stand, transmitted the accesses and discussed the results. This shows both sides’ high organization and communication competency level. That kind of cooperation provided us with highly userful experience that we will surely employ when testing future projects”,- says Aerodisk lead system architect Alexey Horohordin.
“Excellent test results provide our companies with excellent perspectives. Basing on our products we plan joint hardware-software CCTV solution creation in the future, that will be delivered optimized and pre-configured, with joint technical support in all Russian regions. So, in fact that would be box solution that will make CCTV projects deliveries for final customers easier, as there will be no need for Storage system and CCTV system integtation set of operations”, - says Aerodisk CEO Vacheslav Volodkovich.
“Video-core is one of the major intelligent CCTV components. When creating city or region scale video surveillance system, exceptional efficiency video core should be used, the demands for storage system are also relevant. Unlike most of the others information systems, video surveillance system generates huge data volume, that demands permanent record and storage, and also cycle rerecord. That task goes beyond regular storage systems functions, especially when the system includes tens of thousands of cameras. The results of the test confirm that Aerodisk Engine Storage system united with Netris CCTV platform manages this task successfully.”, - says Netris CEO Alexander Dolgih.
In the future the companies plan joint safety projects for smart cities, regions and major industries, as well as for joint household management and other spread objects.
